Since learning of his death early this morning. I've taken to bursts of tears. I'm not certain why. Or, perhaps I am...
Senator Edward Kennedy was a champion of the American worker, of minorities, of the environment, and health care reform. He took action and spoke out for his beliefs, even when doing so was not popular.
Although some may dwell on his faults, we must remember that he was only human, just like the rest of us. Are there any of us who haven't done something we're not proud of? I don't think so...
He fought in the senate for all of the American people up until the very end. He has definitely earned himself a place in history among the5 greats.
And so America bids farewell to you, Ted Kennedy.
May you rest in peace.
