I Know Men
At least according to the folks over at Blogthings
I don't know about that...
You Have Your PhD in Men |
You understand men almost better than anyone. You accept that guys are very different, and you read signals well. Work what you know about men, and your relationships will be blissful. |
I don't know about that...

Are you strict about wearing your sunscreen in the summer?
I never wear sunscreen. I don't burn, so it is unnecessary. Also, I discovered that I am highly allergic to sunscreens the one time that I used one.
Do you frequently wear sandals in the summer? Any favorites you'd like to share?
I frequently wear sandals all year long. I hate wearing shoes, and sandals are about as close to being barefoot as you can get. Sandals are also available cheaply, so I can have LOTS of them. Nothing beats thos $1.50 thong sandals that I get at Walmart!
Another reason for my love of sandals is my narrow size 10 feet.
Just call me Sasquatch!
What are a few great books that you've taken along to the beach or on vacation in years past? If you aren't a big reader, what do you do to while away the lazy hours?
I have the attention span of a tsi-tsi fly. Reading is not my thing. I prefer to listen to music.
(Big surprise!)
How do you feel about swimsuit shopping? Love it, hate it, indifferent? What's your color of choice?
When they start making bathing suits to fit short women with, erm..., ample busts, perhaps then I will enjoy shopping for them. Until then, just finding one that fits in all places is quite the chore.
My color of choice is nearly always basic black.

Sweet Young Thing!
Michael is about 19 in this shot...
So young and beautiful, but already looking as though the world is taking its toll on him.

A Strange Blogthing
For a strange person, ME!
You Are Scissors |
Sharp and brilliant, you can solve almost any problem with that big brain of yours. People fear your cutting comments - and your wit is famous for being both funny and cruel. Deep down, you tend to be in the middle of an emotional storm. Your own complexity disturbs you. You are too smart for your own good. Slow down a little - or you're likely to hurt yourself. You can cut a paper person down to pieces. The only person who can ruin you is a rock person. When you fight: You find your enemy's weak point and exploit it. If someone makes you mad: You'll do everything you can to destroy her life |

Thirteen things that I would magically produce for myself
1. Michael Schenker
2. Red 2007 Ford Mustang GT
3. Brand new laptop computer with a 100 G hard drive
4. An endless supply of vodka and beer
5. New living room furniture
6. A maid
7. Dean Michael Schenker Flying V
8. Indestructable headphones for all of my musical devices
9. A divorce from "the estranged one"
10. A turntable for playing my old vinyl albums
11. A brand new washer and dryer
12. The safe return of my missing guitars
13. A jacuzzi bathtub & shower
Of course, I'd be willing to forgo all of the other things, if only I could have #1...

Do you listen to music regularly? What's your favorite way to listen-- radio, CD, iPod...?
I almost always have music playing, on my computer at home, on the CD player in my car and on an MP3 player with external speaker at work.
When listening to music do you tend to focus more on the lyrics or the melody?
Both are equally important, unless, of course, it is an instrumental like Thank You 4...
If you had to pick a theme song to sum up your life right now, what would it be?
The Mess I've Made - Michael Schenker Group
Pretty self explanitory...

Is There Anything Better...
Than sitting around with your best buddy, getting tipsy and having a load of laughs together?
Not much, I suppose...
Except of course for having sex with Michael Schenker...
And holding him and telling him how much you love him,
NO MATTER WHAT!
But since I don't see that oppotunity presenting itself anytime in the near future, having a good time with my friend (not THAT kind of good time) will just have to do!

Also because I don't know what else to post....
Oh, I could just stare at him all night and all day!
And a few other things, too...

Beauty And The Beast
I can't help it. That's what I think every time I see this photo of Michael Schenker and Robin McAuley...
Who is beauty and who is the beast?
I think you can figure it out.

Wanna piss me off?
Read on...
Thirteen things that really annoy me
1. People who badmouth Michael Schenker. DIE SCUM!!!!
2. Clingy people
3. Touchy feely people who feel that they have the right to touch me just because I deliver their mail.
4. People who misspell every other word (in addition to typos) and never use capitalization or punctuation.
5. Religious fundamentalists and fanatics (of any religion).
6. People who are cruel to animals
7. Women's sports. I'm all for equal rights, but if you can't play with the big boys, DON'T PLAY AT ALL!
8. Girl guitars, pink and downsized. EWWWWW!
9. Romance novels, movies, etc. Fuck romance. I want sex!
10. Racists
11. Republicans
12. The RIAA
13. "The Shrub" A.K.A. George W. Bush. Probably because he fits into several of the previously mentioned categories.

What celebrity crushes did you have when you were growing up?
Let's see...
There was Ringo Starr, Mark Lindsay, Gary Puckett, Donny Osmond, David Cassidy, Randy Mantooth, Bobby Sherman, and many others...
Last year I had the pleasure of meeting one of my childhood crushes, Gary Puckett...
Gary is a really sweet guy. Little does he know that I wanted to marry him when I was six years old!
What cartoon character best describes you?
If I were to be a cartoon character, I would want to be in an animé series. Jeriah, the "pervy sage" in Naruto has a personality similar to mine. Seeing as he has no female counterpart. I'll go with him.
Complete this statement “I recommend…”
(it can be a TV show, book, movie, website, activity, restaurant, etc.)
MICHAEL SCHENKER!!!
C'mon, you knew I'd say that, didn't you?!
But seriously, he is the absolute best guitarist there is. You really should give his stuff a listen...

The Look
I love Michael Schenker, but his fashion sense is, well, rather UNIQUE!
Observe...
Leather jacket, t-shirt, and oversized Dockers?!
Hmmmm... The preppy rebel home boy look?
Oh, well, so he has no fashion sense. Anything looks good on Michael to me.
NOTHING would look even better!

Stuck In The 60s
It is the 40th anniversary of the summer of love. Everybody seems to be obsessing on the 60s...
Not me.
I may have been young, but I was there. Those were good times, for sure. But we can't go back...
Quite frankly, I don't want to.
Time to move on, people...
I suppose I'd prefer to be stuck in the 80s...

Thursday Thirteen
Last week we explored the things that weren't around when I was born. This week we'll have a look in the opposite direction...
Thirteen things that I enjoyed as a kid that aren't there anymore
1. Winky's - A Pittsburgh fast food chain that was a cross between McDonalds and KFC
2. Rainbow Gardens Amusement Park - Formerly located in White Oak
3. Forbes Field - Former Pirates Stadium. Hillman Library now stands in its place
4. Greengate Mall - Used to be my family's favorite mall
5. Shake-A-Pudding - Instant pudding for kids that you made by shaking in a spcial cup
6. WESA radio - Alas my town no longer has its own radio station
7. Meadow Avenue Elementary School - All of our neighborhood schools have been replaced by a huge elementary center
8. Vinyl record albums - CDs just aren't the same
9. Montgomery Ward - I miss this department store. Our local store was one of the very first ones
10. The pear tree - I miss the old tree that used to be in my mom's backyard
11. The Hilltop Drive In - I had some great times at that drive in movie theater
12. Kaufmanns - Recently bought out by Macy's
13. Toth's Market - The last neighborhood grocery store in our town. Now there are only the supermarkets in the business district

Musical Elitists Be Damned!
I don't like it, therefore it sucks!
I am so sick of this attitude.
If you don't like it, don't listen to it.
I'm certain that you listen to some artists that I don't care for. I don't tell you that they suck.
Musical beauty is in the ear of the listener....
Now go fuck yorselves, elitists!

Manic Monday
1. How do you learn best? Watch and learn? Participation? Reading directions or technical manuals?
Mostly I learn by trial and error, usually after reading directions somewhere that never seem to be correct!
2. Is one of your senses more highly developed than another? If so, which one?
~Giggles~
My sense of humor, or so I've been told!
3. Summer is almost upon us here in the northern hemisphere. What says summer to you?
Summer doesn't say much to me, but I'm always saying the same thing to it:
"I love you. Please don't leave me again!"
