But seriously, I have always wanted to be a musician. I just got kinda sidetracked along the way.

I couldn't last a single day in any branch of the armed forces. I positively cannot follow orders.

Earlier this week, comedian, George Carlin, died at the age of 71. Most certainly, he was one of the funniest men of our time.

Famous for his routines about the seven words that you can't say on television, he also often joked about the many euphemisms for death.

But if I were one of those Bible people who believes that humans were created in God's image, then it would seem obvious that s/he does, since humans all have some sort of sense of humor.

When two people love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together, they get married. That's what I was taught. That's what I believe...
And it doesn't matter if these two people are man & woman, two men, two women, or transgender.
Love is love. Commitment is commitment!

The California Supreme Court seems to agree with me, having decided that denying same-sex couples the right to marry is unconstitutional. Unfortunately, proponents of bigotry and hate have collected signatures in an attempt to invalidate the California Supreme Court decision. And they won't stop with California, extremists are even trying to add a ban of marriage for same-sex couples to the U.S. Constitution!

We are at a turning point in our nation's history. Please, stand up against this discrimination. Sign the Million for Marriage petition.

Every committed couple deserves to enjoy the privileges and responsibilities conferred by marriage. Add your name to the petition and be a part of the movement to fight for marriage equality for all.

"Layla trains" were given this name by me because my dog (Layla) could pull them faster than they move. These trains come through quite frequently in the Mon Valley, especially in the summertime. They are very frequently a cause for tardiness.

Paul OBrien. He was OIC at our office several years ago. Nice guy, and an absolute hunk, so if everything else in the relationship went sour, at least I'd have something pretty to look at!
