Save Our Bridge!

This beautiful bridge that is located just down the hill from my home was closed last month due to structural problems. The bridge was built in 1906 and has undergone many repairs in my lifetime. Repairs to the current problems could take as long as two years to complete.

I was distressed when I read this on a website pertaining to historical bridges...

"Even if this is repaired, and the bridge re-opened it will likely open dialog on this bridge and result in demolition and replacement plans. This has been the case with nearly every other historic truss bridge in Pennsylvania, so there is no reason to expect otherwise here."

Please don't let this happen to another piece of Pennsylvania's history!!!!
