Considering where I was 12 months ago at this time, is it any wonder that I got this result?

You Had a Fantastic Year!

Compared to most years, last year was definitely great. Overall, you're living a much better life than you were twelve months ago. And nothing is a better mark of a good year. Here's to hoping next year is even better!

How Did Your Year Rate?

Things are definitely looking better than they were last year at this time, but I personally wouldn't go so far as to say it was a fantastic year.

Chocolate Overload!

I chocolate, but too much of anything, even something as delightful as chocolate, is not necessarily a good thing.

It would seem that too many people thought that chocolate was THE thing to give me this year. Combine that with the treats that I bought myself and it's a definite recipe for a chocolate overload!

Imagine you had to take part in the winter Olympics. What sport would you do?
When I was a little girl, I had fantasies of being a figure skater, but I'm too clumsy for that!
Bobsledding would probably be a better sport for me.

What's something that people do in traffic that really bothers you?
I hate horn honkers. If traffic is tied up, making a bunch of noise isn't going to get anyone where she's going any faster. It will just give everyone a headache!

Ten years ago, a co-worker gave me this nativity set for Christmas because she knew that I collected them. I already had several on display, so I tucked hers away for the next year. I did not discover it again until today. The box was still unopened.
It now has a place of honor under the tree!

Hmmm... I hate my first name. So bland and boring, and shared with a zillion other women my age.
I'd prefer something more unique, but I'm not sure what.
Back in my radio days, I used the name Kelly.

A Tale Of Christmas Lights

Once upon a time someone saw fancy muticolored Christmas icile lights on someone's house while driving to Wal Mart. So pretty were these lights that she bought a set of them while there to hang on her own home.

Alas one set was not enough, so she had to return to buy another set a few days later...

As luck would have it, when those lights were taken out to be hung, she discovered that they were clear, not multicolored.

Not wanting mismatched lights on her house, it was time to return to Wal Mart again...

All seemed to be well when the box was checked and double checked to be certain that they were multicolored.

At home the lights are hung and plugged in. Only half light up!

Yet another trip to Wal Mart...

Sick of waiting in lines at customer service, #2 son takes the defective lights back to the store for exchange. He returns with the new set, and the car pulls away so that the lights may be hung on the porch at home...

"Stop the car!" shouts #2 son.
He has accidentally picked up the clear lights again...

Back into Wal Mart he goes to get the correct lights.

At long last, properly matched multicolored icicle lights are hanging on the front porch. They function properly, for now...

Devoid of leaves, but still filled with little red berries, it looks so pretty in the snow...

So Damned Cold

I hate being cold. And with the furnace on the fritz and no one to figure out what's wrong with it (and no money to buy a new one), my little electric space heaters are working overtime just to keep me from totally freezing.
What I really need is this to keep me warm...

What's the longest you've ever waited in line?
I try to put such dreadful things from my mind after they happen, but I do know that I waited over an hour to get on the Steel Phantom the year that it was first opened at Kennywood. I've probably waited longer for something else, but I've put it out of my mind.
